What gridfon says is partially true but also slightly misguided/misunderstood.

Almost all ref applications have votes made for them. Admittedly, not all get an "official" response as to the status (some have been in-game but the thread not updated, too).

All current refs get trouble from players, this will always be the case regardless of how effective of a ref they are. Unfortunately, some refs have made not-so-good decisions, but they learn from this and we often have internal discussions about it to help all refs improve (every complaint except the trivially dismissable ones is discussed internally).

This server began for several reasons, ref communication and cooperation was one of them. I have let this down in recent months but should be pushing back to where it once was, now.

The largest problem has always been lack of constructive discussions. I watched a "complaint" occur in-game yesterday, it lasted an hour and consisted of several players essentially ranting, raging and arguing over each other. This is far from constructive, it would work out better for all of us if, when you disagree with someone or something, you raise it in a mature manner and discuss why you think a different path should have been taken.

This goes for all players, including refs.

As for questioning my ability to run this server, I do admit i have unfortunately been rather absent lately for various reasons. This hasn't helped in achieving the things I created this server to achieve. But never forget, my experience running such servers measures far beyond that of any other admin, now or in the past (except DJ). So don't doubt, but rather help out where you think help is needed (find me in game, tell me what should change, it will be appreciated).

Anyhow, consider this topic done. Element made a few minor mistakes, as did the players involved in complaining about him. Both sides have said this, so instead of debating over each other, try help each other out. Element's actions have been discussed internally and he will try change a few things about how he refs in the near future.

To put it simply: element made a mistake and had a few misunderstandings, he has apologised in-game a few times for this and the whole team is trying to do better from this.
