 languages other than English

I couldn't really see an in between with this one, excessively/constantly/consistently. I guess it's just a mute or not. I originally left this out of the rule set as it's a european server, but I'm personally ok either way with this rule.

The problem with allowing foreign language is that you then cannot verify that people are not insulting eachother in that foreign language.

I mean: Djinghis, jij bent een teringlijer, flikker en hoerenloper.

If you can't understand it, then you shouldn't care Wink

Personally don't see anything bad in the other languages. + We already tried to force people to speak enlgish and it was useless.
F2 from me.

That might not insult you, but it might bother others in the server. I mean I believe some of our players are German and 2 germans can insult eachother on the server, while an english-speaking referee don't understand anything of what is happening.

Wouldn't that be an F1 as in "Yes, foreign languages should be allowed."

I've read it so fast as "forbid anything except english" and voted f2 there.
Sure it's f1 from me "Yes, foreign languages should be allowed."

Assuming F1 means "Yes" and F2 means "No".

F1 = can speak any languages in chat.
F2 = must only speak English.

I find all this discussion rather futile.

If a non-English speaker is being insulted in his language then he can point it out to a ref, who can use a translator to verify that actual gross language is being used (at least when a ref is online and it is not he who is insulting you).

There are/were many also-non-English-speaking refs. Sometimes the server is more Polish or German than anything else. Not a problem for me. I can even learn a few new words.

And what about those that use irony/sarcasm to insult you without directly calling you names?
Or those that think of you really rude without typing anything?

Childish stuff.

I think insults are fine, we are all adults (mostly) we don't need mommy to mute the bad man for us, use the ignore function Wink

I've decided to change my vote from no to yes so that I can speed up things here and not have to include a language restriction in the rules - 2 oschores with one stone.

So if you haven't voted yet -vote anyway but I'm sure there'
s only 1 or 2 of you.
