 New Dropoffs
disable

Ever since the inception of the additional drops stone/frenzy/potions/medpacks, I've experienced a noticeable frame drop (net frames) especially on bigger maps. The more deaths the more it lags, leading me to believe that these dropoffs have no culling distance and were never implemented in any optimised way. Having tested auto-gold via my balance modification, it does seem to pick up performance somewhat. But that's only one reason...

Having discussed with various players in game, it seem most ppl agree that the drops especially giant med pack benefit humans way too much, leading to a stacked human team the majority of games, playing beasts is just not fun anymore.
Balance was never XRs strong area.

Combat: Savage players became quite adept at a subconscious counting of leaps/stamina or health/med-packs during a fight, this is simply ruined now with random drops that upset any instinctive game-play. You can't tell if a legionnaire for example has stepped on a potion giving them enough HP to sustain another hit or not. Or when a beast randomly runs over a frenzy crystal, suddenly has that 4th or 5th leap you were not counting on.

Scenario: Lets take a level 9 legionnaire with 3 medpacks - that's 620HP plus a potential 620+ which is fairly common. Now introduce a medpack drop 50% hp - that's 310hp and lets assume all are used and tally. vs a level 9 predator with rabid.

620 fullhealth lego
620 3x medpacks
310 dropoff giant medpack

1,550 vs 620 health points in a fairly common scenario. Let's entertain the notion of additional human items/states.

Transporter Giant med pack 2 per second 620 hp every second by simply running over them.
Chaplin potion adding armor/regen/stam speed
Mag buff 180% armour
Ranged weapon superiority
Relocator over 3000hp not enough - instantly return to base and start over Wink

This is a legionnaire entering behemoth HP status and no wonder people play beast as a chore to simply get a game going.

Visual: Not only does it look ugly/World of warcrafty with a cluster of over saturated particle effects, but particle effects don't have distant culling rendering them to all clients all over the map no matter the distance or occlusion. Hate to think of how my older gfx card would struggle with savage these days,, and even with a Katana 770fgx I use for 4k texturing the framerate does drop when you see the chatpost (top right) display mega deaths around the map.
Transporter: Goes without saying just how bad this addition was/is and disabling any medpack drops renders this unit useless except ammo, which can only be a good thing.

Suggestion: Disable the following drop-off items permanently.

-Frenzy crystal
-Health potion
-Giant med pack
