This is a very weird reason to become a referee. Referee's should not be biased towards a clan. In the perfect scenario referee's would thread every players the same way, but as we're all human this is nearly impossible to reach that.
Wanting to become referee to protect a clan does not fit in that picture.

As Moxy already pointed out, there is no democracy for becoming a referee. As it isn't really a secret, I'll actually tell you what pretty much happens. After you have applied, skuggi will handle your application. Why you might ask: Like other server administrators I want to focus on other things, then managing the referees, so i have introduced a role/function for a person to manage the referees of the Groentjuh & Girls servers. I have trust in Skuggi, so I made him do that.
Skuggi will have a chat with the applicant, referees, maybe with other players. If he has time for it he also observes the applicant. In the chats and during the observation he will try to figure out if the applicant is fit to be a referee.
I will often also do some things, such as checking the logs and gathering data using certain other methods only available to server administrators.
After we have done that Skuggi will have a chat with me and we will together discuss if the applicant will become trial referee.
After a while we will discuss if a trial referee is fit to become a god-referee.

As you can see, opening a vote in the referee sections of the forum is not part of the procedure!

Are you implying that you are just applying as referee, because of a referee complaint you have filed? What is the point in doing that? It will not make any difference in that case, but as you can see: It will matter in this case if you do it like this!

I've also seen you know it will be rejected. I could save myself and Skuggi some work and have posted a simple: No. That would however be unfair as we try to give people equal chances.

Your behavior in the forums has not been what we seek in a referee. Even days after that kick, I still see behavior I dislike.

As Skuggi said earlier, we have taken it under consideration
