Mount&Blade Well... I'll just tell it in my own way @_@;
Mount&Blade
Genre: Medieval War Simulation Game

It's still in development, however, this "small" game is highly addicted by many players once they try it out. While the graphics aren't exactly on par as todays games, it's all about gameplay. It begins with character creation, where every choice affects your stats and starting items. After that, you're free to roam the (small) world map. You can lead/recruit an army, raid villages, become a vassal of a faction/kingdom or even lead a rebellion. Sandbox-game! You won't find any big storyline, so if you do need one, use your imagination
It's a very open-ended game. Also, the game is got quite a handful of mods. You'll see mods like Lord of the Ring, A Song of Ice and Fire and Sparta, but also some mod enhancement to the game, be it graphic or gameplay-wise.
Overall, this is a game where you can play hours. It's got alot of replay value. If you DO get bored, (which I would find it impossible) you could wait for the official release (september, this year) and when all the mods ported to it.
P.S. You have to pay once to get past the lvl6 limit. Otherwise, use google xD
My pic, sorry for low quality, the comp couldn't handle more than this

And others pic, some with mods, some don't:

well in the meanwhile i bought it, downloaded a couple mods and am ruling over about 4 castles in 3 different versions think it's quite a good game altough it lacks diversity after a while.. but i guess that's what the mods are for right
