JMZ's servers have been up for almost a year with 0 players and he always threatened to remove them if none donated - obviously none donate anymore but they still remain)

I'm wondering if similarities between your server and JMZ's exist i.e Jmz runs his servers free from work etc? I've always wanted to donate for the good of savage but I would have to see some evidence that they actually cost you personally money, like a receipt. I mean not to offend, but would like transparency on this issue.

I'm sure more would donate with this knowledge.

What the exchange rate from Euro to AusDollar might be?
Are the monthly costs costs actual reality?

And all that tells me,

it's not the server one tries to support,
it's a better reputation one hopes to get as reward.

but money is used for exchange, and if you don't get your moneys worth then people stop paying - simple as that. As for a free game with servers being provided without cost, its only natural people will keep there hip-pocket shut. And you add to that and the fact that the refs are garbage, the rules are garbage and the server lags then it becomes clear why so few donate.

4. Does Ale believe everything he sees on a web page - It seems so

No. electricity and internet connection will always cost money.
The question should be: Can you run a server you don't have to pay for?
The answer is: Yes but not of this quality.

Not all of them.

Yes but I don't make such a big drama about it. Groentjuh knows how much I've donated and when that happened. That's all that matters to me.
