 We know. Working on it, but not expecting any change or update for another 14 hours!

Update #1: Replacement hardware has arrived at the datacenter. It will be installed shortly. It will still take a lot of time before services will be available.

Update #2: Replacement hardware is installed.

Update #3: All services are operational

Update #4: Only of the filesystems is a bit full. Some services were not happy about that.

For someone so dead set against a certain group of people, you do seem to masochistically spend an awful lot of time around them. Virtually speaking, of course, not geographically... can't imagine what a nightmare would be for you to actually have to live in Europe. Damn, you would be forced to learn plenty Old World, obsolete skills, like manners and logic.

Sadly a free game, services required for this free game and a community website without ads do not bring in a lot of money. Would love to have that fully redundant setup as well. What can you expect from a free game that does not even sell your privacy?

Everything is sloppy. You don't want to start of with all our sloppy source, do you?

Feel free to set up a new community website.
Other services we are running are:
  • Map-server: Easy to setup, just folder with all maps. Of course that is tied into that community website using some system that allow mapmakers to upload their maps. That map section is also tied into the Auth/stats-server to allow in-game map reviews/ratings and to show when the map was played on a server.
  • Auth/stats-server: I believe during that last hack you already got yourself the python authentication scripts. You can use that to setup savage authentication/stats services and integrate statistics into that new community website.
  • Master-server: The savage master server is actually open source. So you can set that up as well.
  • Auto-updater server: Easy to setup, just folder with recent files and some meta-data files.


When you're done with all this, make a patch into your auto-updater server to configure servers/clients to make use of your services and here you go! No need for any of our sloppy services, which go down all the time. All someone would need to do is change one file (AU.cfg) and update to go into your universe! Really please do all this and go into your own Savage community AND STAY THERE.
