Fight exploiters & rulebreakers
Hey guys,
My Name is David. Im 28 years old from Düsseldorf in Germany. I'm also Known as

- Shitler
- HORNY DOG
- bossnia
- THE SHIT

At the Moment i'm really getting sick of all exploiters and rulebreakers. There are too many people Ruining game these days. Callvotes doesnt stop them most Times.

I know i'm a guy insulting many others. I'll promise to stop it as a referee. The reason why i insult people mostly is because they Break rules und Ruin Games by exploit. I'm really tired of it. I want to enjoy playing Savage. Not always be afraid of exploiters.

I think people know me as a fair Player. i never bail as comm and never do any cheating. If people tell me i'm doing any mistake i always stop asap.

I'm an active Player and also comm. So i'm able to spec Field most of my time online. So i think i would be a good ref. Please give me a try to stop all these exploits in this game we love.

 well shitler, tbh i always loved and appreciated u more than others do, i do believe that most of the curses you say are a response to others teasing, and that u don't start fights.
but i have some other points:
1. if i remember right (tho i'm not as active as in the past) , u do break the rules sometimes if u r losing or if u believe the game isn't fair (like uneven teams) - which is pretty bad. i speak mainly about spawning behe as comn or camping siege in spawnpoint.
2. u play a lot as comn, which is a great thing for the community, since there are not many comns out there. as a comn it's highly difficult to act as ref, both because u simply don't have time for that, sometimes ref needs to leave his team and go to spec, which u can't do as comn, and ofcourse the idea of reffing as a commander will be taken by the community as u ref for your own team benefit.

imo, personnally, and i'm quite sure thats not the popular thought, u can be a good ref, and i believe that actually being a ref will give u responseblillity and u will stop your bad habits (like cursing and breaking some rules). since u do these stuff more because u believe it's right , rather than just for the fun and that u don't care about others.
i'm really worried we will lose u as a comn tho, when there are not many comns in game. i do believe it's better for the community if u stay comn and don't ref.
those are my thoughts about your case, drk will decide of course Smile

the funny thing is tasty...u should be lucky noone reported you when u did massive behespawn as comm & ref + stopped all kickvotes vs you at omega (or whatever that map is called)

today i just got exploited again from crashday. he summed my shield over hill on watershipdown from NE path. i placed my shield as usual near SE corner. still it got exploited. also beast had twice number of players, so we couldnt defend the one exploiting. hardwell was in my team, so he couldnt see who was the one exploiting, but he went spec asap to scout that exploiter. sadly too late.
just before game was ending _K_ started a draw vote and most people have been fair and pressed f1 to draw that game. but fff (who ever that nicklamer was) stopped that vote in last second to get his win.
so he just protected an exploiter against many fair players. also he didnt say one word. what kind of ref is this? not slaying exploiters and abusing legit votes without saying anything?

i want to say: it's not just the exploiters annoying people. there is a big need of fair refs in this game.
hardwell has really become a good ref. but there are more needed.
SAS is a good ref, moxy is, jazzking is, drk also is when he reacts, but u guys are rarely online except hardwell.

i have no expierence in beeing ref. maybe it doesnt work very well to be ref + comm. i thought it would be a good combination, cause im also "spec" as comm.

also i want to say...there was a few times i spawned behe as comm, but i just started to break rules, when i got heavily exploited.
i remember the situation u've also been online SAS on duskhills. many catas have been shooting over hill at human base. many subs went down and i lost lot of stone. nobody could stop them. no vote worked. it was people like segea_slave exploiting. so i started to spawn behe to be able to defend at least against demorunners. if i had some refpowers i could have handled some things another way. means - stopping exploiters and stay fair.

i hate breaking rules or using exploits. i want to win on legit way. thats the only way giving me fun and some kind of happiness in winning. cheating is for poor people.

and at last i cant remember any situation i've been siegecamping. my aim with bali, pulse, coil, whatever sucks. when i spawn siege, i always try to move at least 1 RC lenght away from spawnpoint. doesnt always work when u spawn in wrong time.

anyways guys...i see people quitting this game cause they are annoyed. i see people joining server back after long time and quitting asap cause of cheating and childish behaviour on server. i also just start game when i'm extremly bored at home. except sundays. it's the only day in week u can still have real fun in savage.

finally i'll respect any decision you take but you should react quick on those signals.

Since you are going to get ref you must understand what is exploit and what is not.
In this case it was not an exploit. Sums were standing right on the ground without climbing somewhere or so and hit it. That was your problem (blame the map) that you made the shield that could be hit from that place. If cata was shooting from that place in the same direction - that would be exploit. If bali - no.

Some time ago I showed Hardwell personally THAT situation on the empty server. Same shield + sum from NE. And told him the same about that was not an exploit. Sadly if he forgot about that.

And again. Hardwell was a ref. He had to stop that vote since your team called it when your sh had few hp.
Since he was in t2 (or specs by that time) he ignored that and I had to get ref to stop that not legit vote.

so this is no exploit? i think it was exploit for most people on server. otherwise they would have f2'd.

it's like the same when bali is shooting over hill on ice_age. its possible from bridge without climbing anything. still it's exploit.


also i never complained about teams in that game. and i still dont. otherwise i would have tried to even teams. just wanted to say, that we've not been able to defend that exploiter. still u should have tried to win on fair way.

Then I watched the demo. I was wrong about the shield position. You were right. He was shooting your shield this way:





As you can see shield is still visible for sum. I think (it is my own opinion) that it is not an exploit to shoot the visible part.

 base was looking more like on my screenshot.

u cant see shield from anywhere on eastside.

 well , i believe u should get ref
about the exploit case - i tbh don't believe in bally or summ exploits , therefore i think this is a legit shot.
btw drk, i don't understand what is the dif between the 2 screenshots u posted. both describe same case , just that the shield is more backwards. the issue is the bally shooting over hill.

The first is visible at once from the ground, the second - you need to climb a bit on the mountain. But just a bit.

 TBH that rule has become too strict.

it was first introduced to only deal with hills that u couldn't get passed to kill the siege units. that hill on watership is totally bypassable for humans to go kill the siege unit. so there shouldn't be any problem that sum to shoot the shield in any circumstance over that hill.
